Nentwich: That’s true, it’s also referred to as technology evaluation. But the fact is that technology assessment (TA) is unique because it brings together scientists from the engineering, natural, humanities, social and economic sciences with the same goal: to research and evaluate the impact of technologies on people and the environment and draw conclusions for society.
