Germany and Austria remain Europe’s cash strongholds, according to an international survey commissioned by consulting firm BearingPoint.
Banknotes and coins are used significantly more frequently in these two countries than in the seven other EU countries surveyed by market research institute YouGov on behalf of BearingPoint.
